Hello
Hello everyone, my name is Kathleen Charles and I’m thrilled to be here among fellow advocates, parents and caregivers. With over 15 years of dedicated experience as a Social Worker and Parent Child Development Coach, my journey in supporting families and children with disabilities has been both my profession and my passion. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with numerous families, each facing unique challenges, and I’ve found immense fulfillment in providing guidance and assistance to them.
My Story

My journey into this field was largely inspired by my personal experiences as a mother. I have three wonderful sons, one of whom is a teenager diagnosed with autism. This role as a special needs parent has profoundly shaped my perspective, empathy, and commitment to this area of expertise. Understanding the challenges firsthand has driven me to seek knowledge, gain experience, and continuously expand my skills to better support not only my son but also countless other families facing similar circumstances.
I’ve dedicated my professional life to advocating for children and families within the realm of disabilities. My academic background in social work, coupled with years of hands-on experience, has equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities families encounter while navigating the systems and support structures available to them. Having worked with countless families, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of compassionate guidance, knowledge, and tailored support. Each family I’ve had the honor to assist has taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, adaptation, and the importance of individualized care.

As both a professional in the field and a devoted mother, I firmly believe in the significance of sharing knowledge, fostering understanding, and providing unwavering support to families facing similar challenges. I’m deeply committed to leveraging my credentials, experience, and insights to empower and assist families in their unique journeys.
